StoryTelling as Problem-Solver

Storytelling is an instructional tool that is often used to help students grasp concepts but it is also a problem-solving tool that can identify solutions that can be employed to improved educational practice.  This is evident by the personal story that Daniel Coles, a former secondary teacher shared in this podcast episode of Things That Matter.  Among other things, he speaks frankly about the “joyless content” that students are required to learn and about the impact that Social and Emotional practices (that are being used more and more in classrooms) have had on his life.
