Goal 16: Change your environment #30Goals Challenge
This is my son’s former high school Photography teacher, Amber Fox. We are big fans of hers and continue to be friends to this day!
Take 5 min and listen to my reflection on an “environment change” that this wonderful teacher does for her students. Thanks for listening! (Will need to go to my blog to listen to soundcloud podcast)
Kids new to the Walt Disney Concert Hall grounds…
If you’d like to read the full blog post of our adventure it’s here~> http://teachingwithsoul.wordpress.com/2010/01/18/inspiring-photo-teacher/
Goal: What will you do to change the environment of learning for your students? Will you plan a walking field trip? How will you do it? Share it with a colleague.
Quote: “It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.” ~ Alan Cohen
Challenge: 1) Join The Teacher Mentoring Project on The EduPLN. 2) Support new teachers at Edutopia.org by responding to their questions and concerns. 3) Plan a simple walking field trip with your students. If possible have them Blog about how this changed their classroom environment.
