I have felt the pain of cutting programs and furloughing teachers due to our system of school funding. I admit that I have been known to criticize the powers that be and wonder aloud, “How could they do this?” and “There are obviously no educators in the capital (be it state or national).”  But this is meaningless banter that gets us nothing.  So what is going on in Washington? I hope to find out at LILA.  How can we be proactive?  How can we be heard?
