It is good to get started early in the school year--much like you do with classroom management. I am assuming that you have one of our books so that you know what the habits are and how they fit into the curriculum (ASCD books--Learning and Leading with Habits of Mind or Habits of Mind Across the Curriculum). There are two other terrific resources for activities for Habits of Mind--toolkits published by ASCD authored by Karen Boyes and Graham Watts--one for elementary and one for secondary.

Just started this group. Art and I have just had an amazing experience working with the Community High School in VT. It is a correctional institution that provides a course on habits of mind. It has had exceptional results.
Has anyone offered a separate course for students that focuses on habits of mind? Bena
