Based on Charlotte Danielson's book, the framework for teaching identifies those aspects of a teacher's responsibilities that have been documented as promoting improved student learning. In this framework, the complex activity of teaching is divided into 22 components clustered into the following 4 domains of teaching responsibility -- planning and preparation, the classroom environment, instruction and professional responsibilities.
