ASCD Forum: Take the Access and Equity Survey

In thinking about access and equity, teacher effectiveness is at the core. How do we know that students have equitable access if we are not sure what constitutes an effective educator?

Many organizations strive to address this issue through the development of standards that define an effective teacher or principal:

These are only a handful of the organizations that have made an effort to define quality through a set of standards, and while there are similarities is common ground, they are far from identical.
